Moving Along

Just a few weeks ago a new pastoral family, the Avila's, where inducted into the church we pioneered and pastored since 2002 thru 2010. While saddened in leaving the church where we grew minsterially, at the same time we rejoice in knowing that they are in good care.

I had the privilege to attend my last Northeast District meeting which was held in Thomasville, NC. It was encouraging to see how God has helped Michael Mason with the Spanish language. God really helped him during this special event.

Our older children have been taken piano lessons. Rosa and I have been rejoicing seeing what God has been doing in our children's lives.

Last night was our second night into our Anniversary service. Our new home is the Spanish church at Hobe Sound, Florida. This church is celebrating its 18th years in operation. It last two nights our services have been well attended. We thank God for his many blessings.

Let it Snow (Not)!

Thank God of a Good Samaritan who lend me his tractor during our 24 inch snow storm this past weekend.

As expected, we had a hard time getting our entry door open in order to start the process of clean up our unexpected visitor.

I thought that by moving south I would not have to worry as much about snow. I guess I was wrong. Man what a mess! I guess I can make the best of it and build a snow man with the children.

As I ponder on the past I can't help but pray..."Lord, the many faces I've come across the years, will I see them in heaven." My heart lays heavy for the lost people in the world without Gods love. May God continue to give me strength and valor to continue to press forward towards the goal in bringing the world to the Savior one-at-a-time. Will you join me my brother?

A Sad Reality

The conditions that some people have to live in here in this neck-of-the-woods is sad. For the most part many of the people whom we minister to live in less then humane conditions.

Some of these moble homes have no heat during winter season. I've always struggled with the reality that some people exploit others for financial gain.

The adverage rent for these run down places are roughly $1000.00 a month not including all other utilities.

As you can see the person in charge for maintaining these properties does very little to do so. This window has been broken for at least two years now, children play all around these parts; no one has done anything to fix the problem. So upsetting!

As I ponder on the reality that surrounds me here, I can't help to think about the greatness of my God. God would never exploit us. God loves us. Just to think that all this will be left behind. Jesus said that he is going to prepare a place for us in heaven. What a day that will be!

The first candidates name is Lino DeLaCruz. I had the privilage to see saved and baptized both the father and older brother to this young man in the past years.
The second candidates name is Salvador Gomez. When I first met Salvador he was a full blown alcoholic.

It is encouraging to see faithfulness and commitment in the youth.

Praise God for he is good!

I'm so happy to have been selected to be part of the Human Services Honor Society. I've worked so hard to receive this acknowledgment. I've kept my GPA on high!

Just to think that in a few more months I'll finallly be finishing college. I'm so excited! The very thought of walking down the aisle to receive the degree I've been pursuing since 1996.

You might ask, "What's your plans after this?" My answer is simply, "I desire to continue working with families and use the knowledge I've aquired to furture God's kingdom."

Considering the hard life I lived before coming to the Lord, it is amazing this brain still works!

Our Family Growing

Greeting everyone! I want to take a moment of your time and share some recent photos of my family. My family has grown in the past year from three to five children. As soon as we finalize the adoption for baby Noah, our family will consist of six six children. I believe the promise to Abraham (to prosper and multiply) in scripture has rubbed off on us in likewise manner.

What a perfect match made in Heaven. This year will make fourteen years together.

Our first child will be a teenager this year. Wow! where has time gone!

In today's time it seem as though people have no room for Christ in their lives, and the true meaning of Christmas has been watered down to mere reindeers and a fat man in a red suit. It's ashame, it's a reality!
My emphasis to the local congregation was that they give stay faithful to the Lord. Never give up, and never give in! I truely praise God for the fruits we have seen in 2008.

Our children did a wonderful job with a bell ringing special Sunday before Christmas.

The Work Goes On!

It truely is a blessing to have dedicated our children to the Lord. We invited Rev. Antonio Gonzalez to come and conduct the ceremony. On this same day (Oct 19th) my wife and I were married twelve years ago, which Rev. Gonzalez also had conducted.

These two young men in the middle got saved at our church. For some time they have been enrolled in our discipleship program. Through hard work and dedication they completed the required courses.
October 24th, we celebrated our sixth year anniversary here in Henderson. We invited Pastor Ovidio Martinez to share with us.

Many people came seeking help from the Lord.

This young man got saved in our anniversary service. His name is Lino DeLaCruz. He is the son of Benjamin DeLaCruz, one of my first converts here in Henderson. I had the privilege to see saved and baptize his older brother and father. This family is our new prospects for a mission church in Santo Domingo, Chiapas, Mexico.

¡Puerto Rico Para Cristo!

¡Saludos a todo el pueblo de Dios! Lleva mucho tiempo que no escribo a este blog. Y tengo gran deseo de mostrales atra vez de letra y foto algunas cosas que han ocurrido en mí reciente viaje misionero a Puerto Rico, en el mes de Septiembre 08.

La isla de Puerto Rico tiene mucho cultura y historia muy fascinante. Cada vez que veo el "Moro" en el viejo San Juan yo me quedo admirado. Ella es producto de los españoles. Durante la estadía de los españoles en Puerto Rico, ellos traeron la religion Catolica la cual es todavía prominente.
Viviendo en la isla hay un promedio de 4.3 millón de habitantes y mucho de esta personas no conoce a Cristo. Gracias a Dios por la obediencia de la familia Pagan, ellos tomaron el desafio en llevar el mensaje de salvación a esta isla. Mí oración es que ellos alumbre en medio de la densa escuridad.
La familia Pagan, nuestros misioneros en Puerto Rico, han estado trabajando fuertemente para ver una iglesia de Santidad fundado y produciendo fruto en Puerto Rico. Dejame decirte ¡sus labores se esta viendo!

Se programo una campaña corta durante el tiempo que iba estar con ellos. Y la presencia y poder de Dios estuvo con nosotros.
Durante los mensajes yo exprese la importancia de estudiar la biblia. No tiene ustedes idea del gozo que me a dado a ver la joventud buscando las cosas de Dios.

El hermano Alex con tanto amor y paciencia estuvo limpiando el lugar donde se aticipo tener la campaña no importando el enorme calor que hubo.

Durante el culto de Sabado en la noche hubo un buen grupo de personas presente. Dios toco el corazón de las personas presentes. Esto fue el comienzo de lo que iba venir.

Actualmente la familia de Alex forma parte de esta nueva obra. Esta foto revela los padres de Alex (su derecha) su hermano y esposa (su izquerda) su tia y sobrinos (medio).

La hermana Pagan se mantiene ocupada con la niños. Esto me a inspirado poder ver un buen numero de niños congregado.

Los niños aquí en la Iglesia de Henderson Maryland en su campaña de "VBS" levantaron una ofrenda para bendecir la obra misionera en Puerto Rico. Con esta ofrenda se pudo comprar materiales que ellos puedan usar durante sus cultos con las niños y adultos.

El culto Domingo fue de gran bendición. Yo compartir un mesaje titulado "la cosas inevitables" la cual produjo inquietud en el los corazónes de las personas presentes.
Al terminar el sevicio hubo un llamado para orar por las necesidades. Seis personas vineron afrente buscando oración, uno de ellos acepto a Cristo en su corazón. ¡Gloria a Dios!

Mí tio juntamente con su esposa vinieron a compartir con nosotros a esta primera campaña.

Por ultimo, por favor hermanos quien esta viendo este blog, no deje de orar por la familia Pagan y el pueblo de Dios en Puerto Rico. ¡Hay futuro para Puerto Rico!

Agradecido en Dios

Saludos nuevamente a todo mis hermanos en Cristo. Yo estoy agradecido por la bendición que Dios me a dado de tener una familia tan especial. El ministerio depende de una familia solida, consagrado, y dispuesto a lo que venga.

El año 2007 nos dejo con grandes bendiciónes y desafíos para mi familia y iglesia de Henderson, Maryland. Actualmente mí familia esta en proceso de adoptar un par de gemelos que ya estan viviendo con nosotros. Así vamos a tener cinco niños en nuestra familia. ¡Wow!

La iglesia de Henderson, Maryland esta creciendo en forma geográfico, genético y general. Para darle una idea de cómo terminamos el año pasado; tuvimos dos bodas, cinco bautismos, dos dedicaciónes de niños, un joven se ingreso en el Instituto Bíblico; sin olvidar sies nuevo convertidos. ¡La gloria sea a Dios!
Le invito para que compartas con nosotros en uno de nuestro cultos. Los servicios son muy bendecido con la presencia de Dios. Pues la biblia nos dice "Porque allí envia Jehová bendición, Y vida eterna." Salmos 133:3

La semaña pasada me dió con llamar mi hermano en Cristo, Benjamin Delacruz. El me cuenta que también su familia esta muy dispuesto y animado en el Señor. ¡Gloria a Dios!

La familia Mason estuvo con nosotros el dia 3 de Enero. El hermano Michael Mason compartio con la iglesia su vision y estrategia que piensa implementar estando en Santo Domingo, México. Yo siento que la familia Delacruz van estar muy bendecido con tener la familia Mason con ellos.

La familia Pagan manda saludo a todos. Alex compartio su visión y logros del año pasado y presente conmigo. Siento en compartir con ustedes algunas de los logros que ellos han tenido. Ellos ya tiene dos familias convertidos y piensan extenderse probablemente este año nuevo para otro pueblo cercano. Dios les a bendecido con un hogar y trabajo secular para ambos.
Hermanos que estan viendo este blog, porfavor de orar mucho por nuestra familia Pagan. Ellos tiene un gran desafío en Puerto Rico. Por el momento estan compartiendo estudios en hogares. Actualmente estan en busca de rentar un local para rendir cultos.

Fulfilling the Grand Commission

Hello again my dear friends and brethern.

I'm really excited to share with you my new adventures I had last month. This picture was taken just a couple days ago in San Juan, Puerto Rico. A family member of mine pasted away and I flew into the capital Friday the 30th of November for uplift and support.

Sixteen years has gone by since I put foot on "the isle of enchatment" as it is called.

While on the island I had a chance to meet up with our missionary family (Pagan Family) in Bayamón, and spent some quality time talking with them about their ministry. God has really blessed them. They seem quite content with the progression they've had in such a short period of time. My dear viewers we should continue to uplift the Pagan family in prayer that they may win more souls for Christ.

To my surprise I got to see a Wesleyan church in my home town of Dorado, Puerto Rico. This movement has been here for many years, but they seem to down size from the last time I had seen them. "May God pour out his fire again back into this ministry so that many may come back to the old path!"

Guatemala

Guatemala is a very beautiful country. The endless amount of mountains and history behind this country makes you want to come back over and over again. The people seem to keep a lot of their old way. On this trip I ate a lot of their traditional food "tortillas and tamales." I also drank "horchata" (rice water) and did a whole lot of walking (good thing I took my sneakers along on this trip)!

Guatemala really has some interesting places that are breath taking. This picture was taking in Tajumulco. This is a natural water cascade. This is quite common around this region. Just up the road there is a natural pool where hot water comes down from the volcano and gets mixed with a small stream below. The people from the local community take baths in this pool.

It's neat to see how they grow crops on these mountain sides without any kind of machinery.

This picture on your right is of the highest volcano in Central America. It is located in a place called Tajumulco. I had an opportunity to share the gospel with the people of this place, where the attendance was around 140. Gods presence was felt every night and the results was seen in the alter.

This is physical labor in Guatemala. I wonder how many people in the USA would be encouraged to do this kind of work.

I don't think I could juggle anything on my head like they do. Can you?

México

Here is a future preacher. This picture is of Rey DelaCruz's son Jason. He was on his way to morning service.

Go ye!!! This was our first planned service in Santo Domingo, Chiapas, México. Many local people came to support our new work in this area. There was also a good number of people seeking Gods help at the alter. The Mason family(our missionary family appointed to go to this place) are truly going to be blessed to come here. The people in the town are very humble, sensitive, and very receptive toward Gods people and message. I can see a mighty church here in the future.

Besides its mountains, Santo Domingo is known for it's masses of coffee plants.

If you like seafood, you will love Santo Domingo. It is coastal and the seafood is plenty.

Our sister church in Motozintla is doing very well. Their project with the addition bathrooms is going as planned. Thank everyone of you who made a contribution toward this project. They are still in need of around $1000.00 to finish. If someone is interested in helping with this project please email me for futher details.

Iglesia Evangélica de Santidad

"Roca de Salvación"

¡Saludos a todos desde Henderson, Maryland! El proposito de esta medio es para darles de conocer un poco de nuestra Misión/Iglesia aquí donde estamos trabajando en la viña del Señor.

1. La Historia

Esta obra se dio comienzo a través de una visión del la familia Ray y Sharon Leamer, en el año 2001. A través del llamado de Dios, la familia Santiago, en el 2002 después de la graduación de Hery del Bíbilco tomo el desafío de trabajar en este campo desconocido.

2. La Misión/Visión

Este pueblo pequeño de como 1100 residentes consiste de personas Americanos y Centro Americanos. Considerando que las personas hispana aquí no son estables, la misión de Hery es de hacer discipulos de estas personas hispana con el evangelio de Jesucristo y el mensaje de Santidad mientra que estan en el país. Y su visión es de poder cultivar las familias que estan pensanado quedarse en el país y ayudarles que vivan y prática una vida de Santidad.

3. Los Frutos

¡El esfurezo no es en vano! Unos hermanos que fueron discipulado y bautizados han regresado a su país el año pasado y en este. Estos hermanos de Santo Domingo, México, han estado orando por ver una obra de Santidad en su país. Dios les ortorgó su petición. Una familia estuvieron orando aquí también por un campo donde trabajar. Y en el mes de Febrero del 2008, ellos obedientes a llamado de Dios, se van a trabajar y continuar lo que comienzo aquí en este pequeño pueblo de Henderson, Maryland.

Y ya este mismo año también hemos casado dos parejas y bautizado en las aguas cinco mas hermanos. ¡Gloria sea a Dios!

Este hermano Rey DeLaCruz regreso a su país Santo Domingo, México, en el mes de Julio este año.
